The Bongiovanni Winery is a reality born from an idea and a passion in 1999. Giuseppe Bongiovanni, the owner of the company, walking among the sunny family vineyards began to observe the nature of the vine during the 4 seasons of the year. After understanding the power of this plant that grows in length, he began to take care of the vineyards that he had been studying for some time.
The company’s vineyards are located in two positions: one in the plain with long and orderly parallel rows; the other is about 400 meters above the sea and is developed in terraces making the very sloping, hilly land arable, following the traditional technique developed since the sixteenth century.
The second is a real window on the three typical landscapes of our region: the intense blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west, the green of the immense valley to the north and the majestic snow-capped mountains in winter to the east.
Giuseppe Bongiovanni with twenty years of experience in the wine sector, has reaped the fruits of his entrepreneurial vision and care of the vine, obtaining the recognition of the Denomination of Controlled Origin (D.O.C) mark for the production of Mamertino red wine in 2012; one of the 3 D.O.C of Messina.
