Facing the Aeolian Islands, and backed by Etna, in the microclimate of the Gulf of Patti, stands the Antica Tindari farmhouse with the purpose of rediscovering and appreciating the qualities of the ancient “Mamertino” wines, desired by and found on the table of Emperor Caio Giulio Cesare. The estate – which fully embraces the principles of organic cultivation – uses modern planting and winemaking techniques combined in the recovery of native vines in danger of extinction (like the Nocera) best integrating them with the typical varieties of the island such as Nero d’Avola or the Nerelli, aimed at producing noble wines including the Mamertino Doc. Antica Tindari is the result of the recovery of a long family history devoted to respect for traditions and the implementation of latest generation techniques to offer a rich product reflecting its land, colours and fragrances.
